About The Author
I have always been one that enjoyed “doing” things.
Why do I do them. Sometimes it’s to save money. Sometimes it’s to get exactly what I want. Sometimes it’s about figuring out how to do it and learning new skills.
This Blog is about some of those steps on the way.
In the past I’ve rebuilt car engines, built and flown model aircraft, built decks, finished my basement, remodeled the bathroom. I’ve kept some things running by doing some basic repairs. On the way I’ve learned to do dozens of new skills including tile, aluminum welding and lately, beer brewing.
A lot of the fun of these things is in the investigation and planning as well as the doing.
My educational background is an Electrical Engineering degree. Since then I’ve worked briefly doing control room displays for Nuclear Power Plants and spent about 35 years as an Engineer in various capacities at Sprint and T-Mobile. Being recently laid off makes me appreciate the privilege of working a good job and career.
